A Walk Through Time

Time, in all its facets and expressions, has always been fascinating to me. As a kid, I remember watching Quantum Leap with my dad on Wednesday nights. We would be on the edge of our seats as Dr. Sam Beckett (and Al) would "leap" through the space-time continuum, righting wrongs of individual lives so that it would change the course of history--and therefore time-- and be able to come home to the future.

Since recently moving back to NY state, I have been immersed in something I have forgotten about myself--my love of history. But not the kind you just read about in books, the kind that changes you when you experience it. There's something mystical that happens when reading a leather business ledger from 1850 of a once world-famous pottery in your hands. Or when you just so happen to stumble across a lock of your 6x great-grandfather's hair in the local historical library (that was wild). Synchronicity takes over full force, uncovering one lost memento at a time as if the song of your blood is calling you home.

What if that's all that synchronicity really is? An event that occurs due to the magnetic forces of lineage creating a path to bring you back home. To bring you to the things that are your home. To the people who are your ancestral home?

Home of course, being symbolic of the place that you belong and also that which belongs to you.

Lineage, quantum leaps, astrology, even death--are all great studies of time. A thing that does not exist universally in this universe. Time, as we know it, is unique to Earthlings. Our time is measured by the apparent movement of the "Wandering Stars" --as the ancients called planets in OUR sky. From OUR home.

When I moved to NY, I moved home. Sometimes, you need to adventure outside of home to experience the call of synchronicity differently. The further you get from home, the more wild the call becomes. Maybe a deeper sense of hoe is calling you further into the unknown. Synchronicity isn't really the sign that you are "in alignment". That's a tricky game of perfectionism and punishment you're playing with when you think of it like that. Synchronicity is the effect of a force called Lineage that is reaching for you to come home, and for it to come home to you.
